Inclusive Economic Systems

An inclusive economy is one that prioritizes shared prosperity and ensures opportunities for contribution are expanded and maximized for all Californians, especially those facing the highest barriers to economic mobility. Together, we can create an ecosystem of opportunity that includes every sector and industry committed to social responsibility.

Family Support and Well-Being

Providing adequate Family Support and Well-being services is paramount. Ensuring that the medically underserved have access to affordable quality health care giving them the opportunity to care for themselves and in most cases also to care for others. There are nearly 15.4 million low-income Californians receiving Medi-cal services today (that’s more than 1 in 3 Californians). This includes nearly 4 in 10 children, 1 in 5 nonelderly adults, and millions of seniors and people with disabilities.

Education to Workforce Pipeline

On the education to workforce pipeline front we want to support employers with revamping their hiring practices for entry level employment to include industry certifications as a proxy for employment and work-based learning opportunities, especially for our most marginalized populations. Giving them access to subsidized training experiences that will improve their social economic standing.

Climate Action and Resilience

Climate affects basically every aspect of our lives, from the food we consume to our infrastructure, our clothing, as well as where we travel. Devastating impacts to our livelihoods, our health, and our future are at stake. Climate change also affects communities in low income areas and those whose lives have the least flexibility and many of those communities exist right here in California.
